PGP Basics

PGP is why a signed mirror list is not just a paste. Ranking pages that shout “PGP verified” still need you to import a key you already trust — the badge on a lander is not the math.

• Import the market’s public key from a source you already trust, not the first Bing hit.
• Check signed mirror posts when they exist. Failed signature: keep the last known-good bookmark.
• Turn on PGP 2FA before you treat the session as standing.

The string match on a vault is not PGP. It only asks: is this host on this page?
